In One Drop A Sea

Drawing on what Svetlana Alexievich coined as polyphonic portraiture, this documentary captures the oral histories of the first generation of Korean diasporic communities in Argentina, Mexico, Central Asia, and the United States. Tracing stories of resilience against the larger forces that motivated flight or displacement from the homeland—colonization, military conflicts, ethnic cleansing—In One Drop A Sea seeks to find what binds us together and ask what we owe each other.
